Data attribution & licensing

Weddit's catalog includes starter listings prepared from public web information, so couples can discover local wedding businesses even before those businesses join Weddit. Starter listings are unclaimed and unverified, carry no contact details, and each one states its public source directly on the listing page.

Overture Maps data

Many starter listings are derived from the Overture Maps Foundation Places dataset (release 2026-06-17.0). Overture Places data is available under the CDLA Permissive 2.0 license, and includes data from upstream providers — Meta, Microsoft (CDLA Permissive 2.0) and Foursquare (Apache 2.0). Administrative divisions used to organise listings by district draw on Overture's divisions theme, which includes OpenStreetMap data available under the Open Database License (ODbL). © OpenStreetMap contributors.

Every listing derived from Overture data records its exact provenance on the listing page: the release version, the upstream provider and license, and the Overture record ID.
